Damien is confused about the words “heard” and “hurt.” He clearly associates the concept of something hurting with the word “ow,” so unfortunately when he hears something he wants you to know about, he will say “Ow, heard.”
At first, I thought he was getting hurt all the time, I didn’t hear the distinction in his words. For some reason, this phrase really annoys me! Oh well.
Thankfully, the phrase is on its way out. He’s now more likely to name the sound or say “heard sound” without the “ow.”
